Riverview National Day of Prayer

The Annual National Day of Prayer Pancake Breakfast was held at Riverview HealthCARE Center on Thursday, May 1. The event got underway at 8am with a huge turnout from the community. A pancake breakfast was served first and the actual program got underway around 8:30 with Administrator/CEO Missy Allen extending a warm welcome to all in attendance. Director of Spirituality/Chaplain Phillip Ramey then prayed a prayer for this event and provided a special song. The Allen Central Jr. ROTC presented the color, and Mayor Jerry Fannin and Judge Executive R.D. “Doc” Marshall read city and county proclamations for the National Day of Prayer. The following prayers were offered during the program: Government by Doc Marshall, Education by the Piarist School students, Business by Al Slone from KING Supply, Family by Debbie Price from Adult Protective Services, Arts and Entertainment by Jody Conley Minister of Music-Allen Baptist Church, Churches by Richard Greene Pastor-Licking River Baptist, and Military by Calvin Setser Retired Military. Ramey and Allen then offered some closing remarks and a prayer of dismissal was prayed by Srgt. Gary Lafferty of the Kentucky State Police/Pastor-Community FWBC. This event was very well attended and enjoyed by all.
